It is believed that LATISSE works by lengthening the eyelash growth phase, although it's not known for sure. You apply it daily to the base of your upper eyelashes using applicators that come with the product. If you forget to apply it one day, don't try to make up for it by using it twice the next day.
What to Expect
Lashes grow gradually, with the first noticeable changes coming about 4 weeks after the initial application. The maximum growth usually occurs at about 16 weeks. If you discontinue use, your lashes will gradually return to their natural appearance.
Some users might experience redness or itchiness in one or both eyes. Often that occurs if LATISSE isn't applied properly. We instruct patients in the proper application of the product.
