Procedure

Most BOTOX injection appointments are completed within 30 minutes. BOTOX will help smooth crow’s feet around the eyes, horizontal forehead furrows, and forehead lines between your eyebrows known as worry lines. BOTOX injections involve the following steps:

  • Patients are asked to frown and scowl to clearly locate the muscles that will be injected.
  • The injection area is thoroughly cleansed with an antiseptic.
  • A series of injections are made using a small needle. Depending on the number of injections, additional needles may be used.
  • There is no recovery time necessary after BOTOX injections. Patients should avoid lying down right away to prevent swelling.

We often enhance results from dermal filler treatments by combining them with BOTOX injections.

Most patients see their lines begin to soften in 3 to 7 days. The effects last approximately 4 months. Touch-up injections are required to maintain the smoother appearance.
