Stephen B.. Schaffer, MD, Physician

Dr. Schaffer is a board-certified otolaryngologist from Pagosa Springs, Colorado. He graduated magna cum laude from Oklahoma Baptist University with a degree in music education in 1988. He pursued a Master’s degree in choral music at Arizona State University, subsequently attending medical school at the University of Arizona. He graduated as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Schaffer completed his residency in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Prior to relocating to Alaska and joining ACENT as an ear, nose and throat doctor in Anchorage, he ran a busy private practice in Fort Collins, Colorado. Dr. Schaffer welcomes pediatric and adult patients from Wasilla, Palmer, and surrounding areas with all types of ear, nose, and throat conditions, and has a particular interest in sinus, thyroid, and voice disorders.
